About Adam Laverty
Adam Laverty is an accomplished compact camera underwater photographer. Although he can easily use DSLRs or compacts his primary tools are compact cameras from the Canon G range. Before he learnt to dive Adam was taking pictures everywhere he went, whether it be the streets of London or the floating markets of South East Asia. He would find colours, shapes and people to fill his lens with.
Adam currently lives on the island of Utila in the Bay Islands of Honduras where he is the head Divemaster for Laguna Beach Resort. His passion for diving, marine life and photography have him regarded as one of the best Divemasters in the Caribbean.
As well as working on his own projects, Adam offers Underwater photography workshops and classes which aim to enhance and improve existing or new underwater photographers skills and techniques. As well as photography courses Adam also teaches a four day Caribbean Reef Ecology class which introduces divers to Algae, Corals, Invertebrates and Fishes.
When Adam is not diving he spends as much time as he can with his wife Sarah and his young son Miles.
